Dua After Prayer

Dua recited after fardhu prayers to remember Allah and seek forgiveness.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.

Dua recited before sleeping for protection during sleep.

بِسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

In Your name, O Allah, I die (sleep) and I live (wake up).

Dua recited when waking up from sleep to be grateful for the blessing of life.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

All praise is for Allah who gave us life after death (sleep) and to Him we shall return.

Dua recited when entering home for blessings.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we rely.

Dua recited when leaving home for protection.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

In the name of Allah, I rely upon Allah, and there is no power nor strength except by Allah.

Dua recited before eating to be grateful for the blessing of food.

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيمَا رَزَقْتَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

O Allah, bless us in what You have provided us, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.
